Last night Kyleigh went to bed around 8 PM, which was over an hour earlier than normal. However, this morning she slept until 8:30 AM, which was an hour later than normal. I was in a rush because I didn't want her to miss the snack time again. Kyleigh wouldn't get out of bed and I had to shovel her up.
When we got to the day care, Kyleigh wouldn't let go of me. I guess yesterday she thought we were just staying there for a couple of hours like the "preview days", and did not expect that I would leave her there all day. Today she realized that I would be leaving her there, so she wouldn't let me go. Eventually the teacher had to grab her away from me and told me to leave. I called them back shortly, and the school owner said Kyleigh settled down almost as soon as I left. I just didn't know if I could believe her.
I am a little worried because Kyleigh did not have any wet diaper over night. We are still training her how to use a sippy cup, and she hasn't quite learnt it yet. However, the day care only uses sippy cups. I am afraid that Kyleigh didn't drink enough, and the teacher probably didn't notice because they had so many kids to take care of.
When I picked her up today, she was not as insecure as yesterday. She did not cry when I temporarily put her down on the floor to grab her stuff. One thing I learned today is that I need to have a box of baby wipes in the car, so I can wipe her hands before we go home. They went out to the outside playground today, and her hands were dirty. She was rubbing her eyes when she was in the car seat. I kept telling her no, but of course she wouldn't listen. I hope she didn't get too much germs in her eyes.
I also noticed some red rashes on her face and her back. I plan on talking to the school tomorrow and find out what she ate today (I have the published lunch menu but the snacks were provided by the parents and not published). I hope it's not food allergy (or, maybe I should hope it's food allergy and not something else that is even worse).
