MILD OR POTENTIAL SPOILERS...PLEASE DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX YET--ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN TO SEE IT!
There. Hope that was enough my little rant far enough down the page. :o)
They definitely could have made it a 3 hour movie; adding 30 minutes would have made a huge difference.
I'm guessing that a lot of things were skipped, for the benefit of the next script writers.
But some of the things that were skipped, really messes with the books' plots, twists, and turn; don't you think?
I miss Dobby!
And Kreacher should have had a much bigger role in this film's story. Much bigger!
And are they totally doing away with Hermione's S.P.E.W.?!
For all these years, I have really loved Emma Watson. But her acting in this movie really irritated me!
In the movie, Harry finally arrives at The Order's headquarters, and we can tell that Hermione really missed him. Just like the book, Harry begins (that's really all the farther he gets) to show some anger towards Ron and Hermione for keeping him in the dark all summer. There's a shot, where Hermione and Ron are standing next to each other, and Ron has an appropriately sheepish and apologetic mannerisms; yet Hermione is breathing so heavily, that she looked more like she had just run a race or something. I think this was the first place I noticed this. And I really don't think I'm nitpicking too much, because she did the same thing in other scenes, that didn't warrant such heavy breathing, (I thought her chest would explode) and her actions really distracted me from others in the scene.
I'll admit, this movie was well worth buying a ticket to see, but I really need to see it again, and maybe even a couple of times, before I can give my opinion of where it ranks with regard to the others.
The Sorcerer's Stone is my favorite movie, because it was the first. But I can honestly say, that I have yet to find anyone who thinks Chamber of Secrets was the best Harry Potter movie
thus far-- besides me of course.

The movie misses all the FUN in "cleaning" up the Black house.
Which means:
The next movie will probably not have many of the cooler things about the Weasley twins and their store. The script writers might be able to pull that off well enough.
BUT
Aren't we going to have a little trouble with this locket, which couldn't be removed from the Black house? Are horcruxes going to exist in future movies?
I did enjoy the movie though, it was one of my favorites of the 5 films so far. I went to see it 3 times. David Yates had the toughest to deal with. The book is over 800 pages long after all. But he did very well :)
I didn't read this.
Hey, I like this asking questions thing.
I won't tell, if you don't.
My favorite of the movies was Goblet of Fire, but I don't know anyone else who thinks so...
Ten unsolicited points from the world's worst connection. Merry whatever you celebrate!
