I promised to create a photo collage of flower pics submitted by members of Your Favorite Pics. Only one problem; there were so many fabulous choices, I went a little crazy. I did a bunch of collages and couldn't decide what to post so this what I'm going to do. I'm posting a couple today and I'm going back to the proverbial drawing board get some more ready to post on another day.
Images of flowers seems to be everyone's favorite subject on Gather lately. The quality and sheer beauty of some of these images are astounding. This week I chose only one photo for the group's usual 'before and after" photo make-over.
It's a magically atmospheric photo of a delicate desert flower encrusted with bits of snow by Addie F. What beguiled me about it was the contrast of the elements. You could almost feel the cold on that wisp of a flower. Naturally I wanted to see it in more detail so I did the usual cropping and playing with light to coax out a little more magic.
Here is the 'Before' I like the depth of field but sacrificed it for a closer look.

This is the "after"
For the flower "collage", I decided to have some fun with a dual image. On the left side is a cropped and enhanced shot of a floral bouquet by Katrina Hall. On the right side the images may look a deconstructed version of the left side but they are not. There are nine individual photos with marginal enhancement. The beautiful images are by;
Top row from left to right:yellow rose by Trudy P., Iris macro by Trudy P., Lilies by Nana to seven.
Second row from left to right :Tulip by Scott L., Daisies by Kyra D.,Iris macro by Alison Mikelson
Bottom row from left to right: Lily by Jan Goldfield, Echinacea by KM. Frontain, ? by Trudy P.
I didn't plan to feature three of Trudy's, it just worked out that way. In the other collages, I will also feature multiples of one member so don't be mad at me if you don't see your pics. I'm also planning on doing ongoing articles highlighting the work of individual members. Stay tuned. This was a lot of work for me this week and I must now attend to my neglected garden ;-). Until next week, keep creating beauty.

Love the beautiful collage and thanks for putting one of my beauties in there.
The collage is really lovely and I like the bouquet next to the collage. What a nice breath of Spring depicted here. I just planted a few little flowers I picked up at the nursery this weekend. I have to purchase a few at a time since they are so expensive. By June I'll be glad I spent the money, but right now, as always, I'm chastising myself for spending so much.
Thanks Vicky
Deb. I appreciate it!

Absolutely Beautiful! What talent on both sides of the lens. The colors are so rich they look as if they were painted. Natures perfection!
