Here are some pictures of some flowers I took at my in-laws house a few weekends ago. They live in Albany, Oregon and I took these with my Kodak Easyshare Z650 digital camera. I fooled around with the color a little on my HP photo program. 1.) Does anyone know what kind of flowers these ones are? 2.) Do these flowers grow where you live? Thanks.... Faith

Deb: Yes, it does sound like Kathleen knows, as well as J F. Thanks for stopping in, Deb!
and they look beautiful in your picture
Yes they do attract bees as a child I ran into forsythia, and had bee stings everywhere.
Now I live in Florida & deal with 'skeeters and a whole host of no-see-em's!
Amy B: Ha, that is really funny. I can imagine that would be a cheery sight after taxes. I never knew that about Forsythia, so that is cool that once they bloom you know it's warm enough to do other things in the yard!
Shannon W: That is neat that you have one in your front yard too. I love them.
Dani D: You know... I never looked at your profile, so where in Oregon do you live? Sorry they make you sneeze!
If anyone has ever watched Homefront, they will remember the stripping of the wealthy woman's forsythia bushes. They had been the favorite flower of a young woman who was killed. They picked all the branches off the bushes to make funeral sprays.
Thanks, barb w: That is neat that they grow there too... I'm always so curious when it comes to what grows where.
Ugh, Elaine: Your run in with the bees sure sounds awful! I love your names for bugs. Skeeters and no-see-ems. Haha! Great.
many of us see and enjoy year after year. Ours aren't blooming yet, but will be soon. They are a lovely first sign of Spring, and really go all out by producing a huge
bouquet of yellow blossoms. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos!
Also hun,
If you have not yet already submitted this to my group called: "C" ~ Articles/Images That Start with the letter "C" (All subjects matter allowed...). Please do so...
But if you had sorry I have not approved it just yet... Fell kind of behind due to appointments so far this week... :)
Audrey LC: Yes, it is definitely in the air! I am glad you liked this one.
Felicia R: Thanks, I actually did publish this one to your "C" group and I've been happy when I've realized when articles begin with "A", "B" or "C", because then I know I can send them your way. I think those groups are pretty darn cool, thanks. I see that you must have approved it because now it's showing up in my list of groups above. Thanks for the 10. I LOVE that number! ;o)
Larry H: Thanks, as always, Larry!
High Flying Spider Woman Liz Rice-Sosne: Thanks for pitching in, Liz! I hope you've been doing well and it's great to see you on one of my articles!
~Connie~ C: Aww, thank you, Connie! I appreciate the compliments. The original pictures were pretty neat with no tweaking, but I increased the saturation some on these pictures, that's why the background has that magenta color.
David Smith: Thanks, David. I've been having so much fun with these macros.
Kathleen G: I can't wait for them to start growing there either. Thanks.
J F: I have heard that they attract a lot of bees. I will remember that next time we go over there and let the kids know too. Thanks!
Eileen W: Why, thanks!
Dani D: Thanks. That is really neat that we live so close. (Only an hour away!) I used to spend a lot of time in Eugene when I was younger. I love the Saturday Market because they have some WONDERFUL vendors there. I always get so inspired when I go there and think "I could do that!" and then come home and never try. Haha. Do you like Eugene?
Charles AB: Thanks, and it looks like you're right! I don't think you even need to apologize for your spelling either, because that looks right too. :o)
Alicia Storey: Thanks as always for stopping by and commenting on my article and pictures. You are so loyal! Looks like these are Forsythia, but you're right - they do look like lilies. Thanks for the great compliments.
Melissa I wanna be a pirate princess when I grow up: I still love your screen name, it's so cute. Maybe you should move to Oregon so you can see some of these flowers again - I'm just kidding!
Val G: Thanks... I found out that I really like to take macro pictures, so I've been having fun with all the spring blooms! I hope your bloom soon and you're very welcome for sharing.
Stanley Nipper: Why, thank you! I appreciate you stopping by and commenting on my article.

Take a look. We may have to guess again.
Do they have a scent? Is it strong?
But I’m so afraid that Monday is just around the bend
So I’ll just enjoy my family until the day is through
