Know exactly when, but not how you are going to die. That way I could get everything DONE first! ;)

Either option poses a logistical impossibility, at least insofar as the reasons I'd want to know are concerned.

My gut instinct inclines me to go with the first choice, so that I can take matters into my own hands and kill myself before the time comes (as a protective measure against the terrifying uncertainty of the manner of my death.) But if I found out how I was going to die, and the answer isn't suicide, then my efforts would not succeed, and I'd die as predicted, and live the rest of my life knowing exactly how numbered my days were, feeling very, very scared.

Contrariwise, if I were to go with the alternative and found the answer unsatisfactory, I would again feel inclined to kill myself (for the illusion of control). But again, if the prediction were not suicide, then my efforts would again be moot.

So I'd rather remain ignorant.

I'd rather know how. Knowing when means I'd be constantly watching the clock; knowing how only means I'd be constantly watching for the circumstances. And unfortunately, I wear a watch most of the time.

I think how. I wouldn't want to know when because I would also become a clock watcher. I wouldn't be able to really enjoy life because I would be too busy trying to get EVERYTHING done that I wanted to do before that day.

If I knew how, yeah I might watch out for similar circumstances, look for some clue as to when it might be about to happen. If that was how I was really supposed to go though, I wouldn't be able to do anything to change it even if I tried. Just realizing that, I think I could come to terms with it and just live not worrying about it.

Neither, I would just like life to go as it is and when it is my time I pray I die peacefully and very old in my sleep.

I dont want to know either one iof them..LOL

Is it just me or does it seem like most of the responses haven't really considered the ultimatum with the gravity it is due?

I would want to know when. Never know, it may cure my procrastination. Live like there will be no tomorrow....

Very possible Soren. I don't think this is something that most people really want to think too much about.

I'd rather know when...so I can live until then. It doesn't matter how, because you only die once...and when you go; you go, no matter by what means.

I'd want to know when. That way everything would be done, I'd even have a chance to say my good byes properly.

i'm too afraid of death to think of either of those questions.

I would want to know when. That way I could settle all my affairs and make sure everything was set before I go. Also, I could prolly live more carefree...knowing that no matter what I did I wouldn't die...until that time.
