Ever since the upgrade, albums have been difficult to view, especially a set of photo's, so here is a quicker way to Gathering when it comes to albums...
Click on the album you want, for example:
http://www.gather.com/viewAlbum.action?albumId=14432&nav=Namespace
After clicking on the album you want, you will see a group of photo's; select the photo you want, and click the right button of your mouse. You will see a list of options. Click on "Copy Shortcut". After you click on copy shortcut, click on your browser and once again, click the right button of your mouse and click paste.
View the photo, rate, and comment. Then go back to the other page loaded and go to the 2nd photo and do the same and repeat the process. It is easier, faster and quicker and viewing doesn't take forever to load a picture!
I have dial up AOL Internet and it is annoying and since I been doing this, Gathering has been quicker and more fun because I can view more people and comment on more stuff.
I also have did this with articles and just scroll my icon of my mouse onto the article I want and click the right side of the mouse and copy shortcut and then, click paste into the browser.
