Hey, someone had to attempt to knock some sense into the Pres. Worse things have been aimed at Presidents. If he's worried about a little tiny pair of shoes, he should march where our troops are marching, and deal with what they have to deal with.

My husband is in the military, and he felt the same way, went those shoes went in the air, the thrower should have been on the ground.

Shoe throwing (or showing the sole of one's shoe) is a deadly insult in Middle Eastern countries.

It was a sign of total contempt.

I'm not a big fan of the president, but there is no reason that another person, much less someone from another country, should be throwing shoes at him. That's a huge sign of disrespect in Middle Eastern countries. The horrible part is the idiot is now being regaled for his incident.

Secret Service should have killed him when they had the chance, but I imagine there is some crazy loon that likes Bush enough to follow up on the insult and kill the guy himself.

He was in a foreign country. The person throwing the shoe was a national of that country.

Hey .It made the guy a hero in his country. He got a medal for it. I agree that he should be dead . Any one taking the life of a president has not been executed since Lincoln.
Maby I'm wrong .But if you know you are not going to be killed for murder. Why not do it.

I think we are all entitled to our opinions but we should all offer some degree of respect to each other also. I would not throw a shoe at anyone regardless of my opinion. My Mom taught me to treat others as I would want to be treated and "no" ""I don't want a shoe thrown at me so why would I throw one at the leader, the President of our country regardless of any feelings of disagreement with his attempts to lead the Nation."
