I'm trying to get in more practice with making graphics.
These are cute!
Are you allowed to use the Gather logo? TOS would seem to indicate otherwise, unless you have prior permission:
"Gather, gather.com, and the Gather logo are trademarks and service marks of Gather and other Gather logos and product and service names are trademarks and service marks of Gather (collectively, the "Gather Marks"). Without Gather's prior permission, you agree not to display or use in any manner, the Gather Marks."
-- if anyone's curious as to what they look like in a comment :)

Why can't you?
You can bookmark a page on Gather the same way you can any other page on the internet.
Also, these are copy and paste graphics, not how to format a comment.
I can definitely make some smaller ones - just let me know what you'd like it to say.
And I plan on asking Gather first thing tomorrow, so I'll let you know what they say about the logo!

I am looking forward to more that you come up with!
The whole thing, including the < > marks .
Steal these gifs -- PLEASE!
This way they'd all be in one place for everyone who wants to find and use them. :)
I may just have to start using this one along with my friend connection requests. Great ideas here Laura. Thank you so much for sharing your design and coding talents with us all.
Of course, reading through the thread I see you prove the old adage that you can't please everyone.
That's ok doll, you've pleased me.
Yep - just copy and paste the section in bold under the image you want to use. Be sure to include both < > on the ends - that's part of the code.

Thats cool , since I am a newbie .....I guess kind of stupid on these TAGS????
I had no idea how to use them ...but I guess I ll have to play around with them and keep practicing till I get it right !!! Yeah I would mind you doing my logo for me it was for my eBay but right now not doing eBay but would love to use it here. Its green all around in the middle is like cut out Heart and my doxie named Angel I had put inside the heart but I would like to have it sparkly or something to make it jump out at you.
Just let me know if you could do something like that for a logo/icon/Tag
Thank you
God Bless
I'm going to use these laura thank you.
i really like these thanks
and this one
Thanks.
I applaud your creativity, but wouldn't want to encourage this in the community. In my experience, these lead to cookie cutter comments with little thought given to the content or the author/publisher. Most members don't post an image along with a personal note about the content itself, which is ultimately more meaningful than a pasted image seen on hundreds of other articles.
Also, some images can contribute to displaced text in a comment thread which is very aggravating.
A healing thought, Laura. Your caring is to be applauded.
Which font did you use?
VERY HELPFUL!~

I'm not suggesting that you do so, but that sounds like the groundwork for pulling a rather awesome prank. Although judging by people's moods around here lately, now's probably not a good time for that. :)
Thanks for asking the Support Team about the use of Gather's logo in this article and in comments. First, I absolutely applaud your creativity and your willingness to share what you have learned about adding images to comments. Thank you! However, the Gather logo is trademarked and is reserved for Gather's official use only.
We love to see members showing their support of Gather and the friends they have met on Gather. When you do so, please use a unique font and image that is not a copy of Gather's trademarked logo. Thanks for understanding!
Here's one for you for this excellent work:
I will be adding more graphics as I make them, including some smaller ones for those who want to put something at the bottom of their comment - look for more soon!
