Autumn

each year's

sweet exhale...

On a quiet Sunday walk through our woods

I found the first fall leaves, some maple seeds

and lots of pine needles.

The fun begins when you build the background,

arranging and rearranging until at last

it is a fitting frame for sentiments.

Next comes the photo and the editing.

With a bit of embellishing and the text placed

it became a great Autumn card.

Oh, how I wish I could experiece Autumn again...like years ago when I was in school. That first nip in the air meant sweaters, kneesocks, football and homecoming was near. That is what Autumn reminds me of.

Oh, kneesocks...I used to love them. I was just shopping for cardigans yesterday. Apparently not so much in fashion now. Oh well, there is always Goodwill. My style indeed.
