Bruce and I would like to share a gift from our home,
our hearts, and from the peace of Grandmother Earth.

Ciman is an original watercolor by Bruce Erdmann. 
Ciman means canoe in Potawatomi.

Ooowwww. Thanks. I have a framed picture that my sister took right before my father died of his small boat tied up to the pier on his property. It is breathtaking. She won an award for it.

Happy Thanksgiving.
We have Potawatomi State Park in Door County. It's a beautiful park with hiking trails, bike trails, scenic vistas, nature programs and the Eagle Tower high above the trees overlooking the lovely village of Ephraim.

I was born in Overland Park KS but my grandfather was from the Topeka area. He was part Potawatomi.

Your husband's painting is breathtaking!! Karen and Carla, I too am a born and raised Kansan - Horton, northeast corner - we just left 2 1/2 years ago. The Potawatomie, Kickapoo, and Iowa-Sac-Fox Indian reservations were all up there within a 40 minute drive from our farm. Our local school had a 26% Indian population. One of our daughters, who is now 34, was in the same class all through school with a Potawatomie/Kickapoo mixed young man. He won a full ride scholarship to Stanford University - came home and was elected tribal chairman of the Potawatomie tribe - and then went on to law school.

Karen, I love the concept that earth is a grandmother, maybe even a great grandmother.

Thank you for your generous sharing. Bruce is so very talented. I can't put into words how much I love this scene. It has always been a dream of mine to have water near.
