The newly formed Newton Merchants Group will host Newton MayFest on Saturday May 12, 2007 on the streets in downtown Newton NC. The MayFest is currently seeking artists and fine craftspersons to participate in the one-day event. Booth spaces are available for $35.00 for a 10 x 10 space. The festival will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, rain or shine. Artists must provide their own tent, or set-up plus tables and chairs; MayFest will supply the location and the crowd. Artists' demonstrations are encouraged.
