Seeking entries for a juried art exhibit, ArtFutura 2007: INNOVATION. This event is open to both established and emerging artists. Artwork submitted will be judged by James Rondeau, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art for The Art Institute of Chicago. Those selected as Finalists will be on display at the ArtFutura exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center from May 18-27, 2007, and be offered for sale, with 50 percent of the proceeds benefiting RIC. Additionally, works selected as outstanding by the juror are eligible to win awards of $100 to $1,000 and recognition by Rondeau. Funds generated via this year's ArtFutura will support an art therapist at the RIC. The RIC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Chicago that provides rehabilitative services to patients who have physical disabilities from birth or due to traumas such as spinal cord injuries, burns, head injuries and amputations.
