Escape School-Tips for kids when dealing with abductors

Today the school had Escape School for the kids.  They taught the kids about Stranger Danger and gave them tips on how to avoid being abducted.  My husband attended with our daughter to see what they were telling the kids and make sure it wasn't too much for her to take in.

My how things have changed when it comes to all this!  I was taught to "stop drop and vomit", yell "fire", or to kick the abductor and run.  The little assembly the kids went to today had a lot of tips.

I thought I'd share some with all the other parents here on Gather-

Knock over store displays or clothing racks

Knock items off shelves

Grab onto any person you may be passing and do NOT let go

Play with the light switch if in a house

If on a bike do not let go of bike or use the bike to keep between you and abductor

If in a trunk of course pull on all the wires you can find

If in a car with abductor jump on them and honk the horn while screaming

If in a car and at a stop light/sign and you can do it get on floor and hit gas pedal

I thought it was quite interesting to hear some of these...  I wonder what other things kids are being told about this nowadays...
