Mariah asked me these question and I believe they deserve time and effort so I wrote a second blog to answer these questions. If you have any question or comments about my article please post me a comment below and I will try to answer them for you.
Amy ~ Thank you for your interpretation of Chapter 3. I have some questions for you just to strike up a conversation...
1. What is your opinion about the chapter you read?Do you agree or disagree with any of it?
2. What is your interpretation of Autism in "Social Stress"
3. The "Medicine Man", Do you think that people who are treated by a "Medicine Man" get better due to the "medicine" or do you think it is mental?
I agree that Freud took a lot of the credit. I agree with some of what he has come up with and I disagree with some of it. I was just wondering what your thoughts were. I love this kind of stuff! I hope you don't mind the questions.

Dear Mariah and Everyone,
I apreciate your comments on the chapter 3 review. I find that I agreed with most o what the book said even though it was hard to read and I had time with some of the wording of the words. I find that the book was very resourcefull and that there was a lot of good information. About Chapter 3 I found that gettting to know the theories behind deferent matters of the mental mind is what is important. I agree with the labeling Theory and it's usage. I find that people label themselves in how much money they spend and where they go to school and what type of friends they keep a hold of. I find that there is a hole bunch of people out there that can label themselves to be geeks and that they are not really but because they wear glass have an high IQ and love to work on the computer. Even all thesethings that I just mentioned dose not mean that the individual is going to make a whole lot of difference in the long of what you actually are. I think the labeling theory is one of those things we should not get involved in it will just cause harm and not good. So to answer number one of your questions I find that there is no way for people to be labeled as something it just hurts people in the long run.
We never got to Autism and I do not know that much to say about Autism I am just going to have to say to question number 3 that I do not know what Autism would be like and that I would have no idea why social stress would bring that much into the situation of Autism. What are your thoughts on Autism?
Going to a "medicine man", "shaman", or any of the other quack doctors that resort to time tested ideas of vodoo, evil eye, or the ever popular exercist. I do not recomend going to one because they are really not up to speed on the new technology, and medicines that are out there. I find that they are not part of the norm. If something is not part of the norm they are deviant. Deviance in mental health means that there is alot more quaks and insane people out there. I am not trying to knock a person for their own beliefs but that what it is just a bunch of beliefs on a man that is a old time doctor that knows what their time tested beliefs are and they perform it. I believe that if you believe in these things you should seek other advice and see if this will come true.
I hope this has answered anyone's questions. Please post a comment in the blog if you want to have an a question answered.
Thanks.
Amy
