Is it really the 'lucky' number 7?

Last week I started providing daycare for my friend Carla's kids and I watch Savanah (5) and Audra (15 months) from mid morning till afternoon and Kiaya (8) and Gage (7) for just a little bit after school. My 23 month old toddler is at home with me anyway, but my other 2 boys are in school.

I was able to make it through my first week of daycare without a hitch and it's nice to have them here because it makes me feel like I'm actually accomplishing something. They are great kids too, so it's a win-win situation for all of us. Carla really enjoys her new job and even though she misses her kids tremendously, it's a nice change for her too.

Well yesterday was the last day of school for Kiaya & Gage and my two oldest kids.. so starting today at 9:30 am I've got 7 kids total ALL DAY LONG!


Yikes, wish me luck.
Think I'll stay sane?

Good luck Faith! In my younger babysitting days, I could take on that many children and it didn't bother me one bit. Now that I'm older and my nerves are shot, one or two at a time is all I can manage. I'm sure you will be fine and the two older children might be a big help entertaining the littler ones.

Well 7 is usually a lucky number and it's also my favorite number. But it sounds like 7 can be a real handful. Good luck to you today. I think they'll wear you out!

You can do it Faith!! If Jon & Kate Gosselin can do it with 8 ( a set of 7 yr old twins and 3 yr old sextuplets) I'm sure you'll be fine! Just be glad they're not all the same age!

You''ll do fine I have 3 kids and + 7 neighbors = 10 kids + any other kids sometimes up to 20 kids in the yard,the more kids the more fun :)) It's the drinks that you have to keep up with that kills ya :)) LOL

My ex husband's birthday is 7-7-77 so I can't exactly say I think the number 7 is lucky, LOL
