My name is Amy
I am tall, husky, and three
My brother is Georgie
I love my Mommy
I fear creepy crawlies

I need love and affection
I give love and affection

I love watching Care Bears
I live in Orlando, Florida
My last name is "Pudding tang ask me again I will tell you the same"

This poem is a Bio poem. A Bio poem can be used to teach students to focus on the characteristics of a person or an animal, anything or anyone really. It requires the student to put themselves in the the subject's shoes.

Wilka sends cyber hugs to the strong little three year old, named Amy, from 800 miles away. (I want to be three again once in a while, too. It brings my mom back for a couple of minutes...((smiles)))

Your right, Amy! This type of writing is a wonderfully brief way for children to talk about themselves; who they are, how they look, their name, where they live, what they love and fear. These are things to which they can all relate and especially love hearing about from one another. Very nicely done. I enjoyed reading this.

I didn't know about a bio poem before. Good idea. It's an excellent way to teach empathy, I think.
