I want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's day. Why cann't today be a day that we celebrate one another and our glory to God. Why dose this day only have to be for mothers. i think that we should have a sisters day and celebrate the glory of being a women. Whether you have children or not. Make today a beautiful and celebrate the gift of being a women in God's eyes.

We can always make a day to celebrate our friends, sisters, women, etc...but we don't always tell our mothers that they are appreciated and love as we should. I think it is wonderful that there is a special day to thank our Mothers and our Fathers and let them know that they are loved. I think that maybe we should just remember to tell everyone in our lives every day that we love and appreciate them. By the way...I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU...MY FRIENDS ON GATHER...THANKS!!!!!!!

I'm with you. One of they guys in church today said, "This is a day to celebrate womanhood...'cause even those who are not mothers are nurturing."

I sent cards or e-cards to my mom, sister, aunts and friends. Motherhood doesn't all come from one person. My cousin never had children. Although she never gave birth, she gave life - to her brother by donating a kidney. My daughter and stepson both called me today and they're both happy, which makes me happy.

I wish you all, all women, a Happy Woman's Day, and those that are mother's as well, a Happy Mother's day, I think there is enough love to go around for all, and we should
all think of the women in our lives, sisters, mother, grandmas, daughters, neices, grand daguthers every day, as we have a common bond, we are unique , we are what make the world go around, Need only a few men , but many women, Congratulations to all Us Women.

I agree! In fact, I spoke to my sister and we both celebrated the joy of being women AND mothers. Also, my husband always calls HIS sister to remember their deceased mother and to wish his sister a Happy Mother's Day.

What a fabulous idea ! If we remember everyday is 'great' to be who we are, mother, single person, buddy--woman should be celebrated each n' every day but Hallmark thinks 'Mothers and father's day' should only be acknowledged once every calendar year, instead of daily. Great post !
