For those of you with more than one child, how did you decide that you wanted to have more? For those with only one, what was your reasoning?

My mom-in-law has 3 because Multiple sclerosis prevented her from having more.
My kids are an amazing blessing to me.
BUT, having the first child rocked our world more than we thought it would. We decided we would have one more after the first then probably stop. We had a SURPRISE third and then did something permanent. So, 3 kids it is. I wanted more than one really because I wanted to experience having a newborn again. It is a lot of work, but the snuggles all make it worth it!
Stopping at one would have been a lot easier (work wise and sibling rivalry-wise) but I like that my kids are all close in age and have built in playmates. They have to learn to share, work together, etc...
