Do you hate your name?

I hated mine when I was younger, mostly because it seemed like an old-fashioned name. Now I like it just fine~

I used to but it does not bother me as I get older. LOL

I have always really liked my name and never really thought about changing it. Boy am I glad that I've never called you CARL, ha.

I do remember when I would play with Barbie's I would always name them Felicia and think that if I ever had a daughter, I'd name her Felicia. Now mind you this was when I was just a little girl and I think I must have thought that Felicia sounded exotic or something.

I don't feel that way now about the name Felicia.

Hmm, I wonder what name you should choose?

I don't really have a problem with our name! :) Well, I do, but it's not really our name that I don't like, it's just that I have ALWAYS lived with someone with a similar name. My little sister's name is Darla and my husband's name is Carl! lol The only person that ever called me Carl was my uncle. He called Darla Darryl, and our older sister, Bonnie, Bernie. So it never really bothered me.

If I did suddenly decide to change my name, it would be something very different from Carla, just so people wouldn't say all the dumb stuff they say right now. Yes, I know that the only difference in my husband's and my name is that I have an extra letter. Yes, I also know that the only difference between my sister's and mine is that the first letter is different. I don't need people pointing those out to me every day! :)

I have always hated my name. Leigh is a nickname I picked up in JR high. If I changed my name it would be to either Elizabeth or Kaitlyn.

Carla and Darla?? Wow. So if you had another sister maybe her name would have been Marla? Have your parents ever said why they did that? lol

My dad wanted twins! My brother and my older sister are Johnny and Bonnie! :) My two oldest sisters don't have rhyming names. One of my uncles teases and says that is one of the reasons that my dad didn't stay married to his first wife.

How about Sharla? Donna is unimaginative, I was named after my Father, Donald. Luna's nice.

i never really liked my name but i dont know what i would change it to either. im ok with it now though.

My first name is Martha, and I detest that, but I've always been "Krissy" and feel that it fits me quite well----I'm comfortable being me! lol

I have always hated my name. It was very old fashioned sounding when I was a little girl in the 50's-60's. I tried to change it to Wendy but that just didn't fit me. If I were to change it I might go with Katie or Maggie. I think those might fit me all right. But I really don't care so much about my name anymore.

{wanna know a secret? When I was little I couldn't say Wanda Louise so I said Mauna Weeze and I always have thought it was a little strange and offbeat. Maybe that is what I need to change it to. LOL}

Nah. I hated that my name was so common, but it suits me, I suppose, so I never had any real desire to change it.

I hated my name when I was younger because there were no other Sophias that I knew of and no one said it right. But, I can't imagine anothe rname for me know, it fits me perfectly and I am so glad I am a Sophie instead of a Sarah like my mom wanted ot name me. Sarah is all wrong for me.

I've never really liked my name, mainly because my initials in my maiden name were JRK so it spells JERK! But my parents thought I was gonna be a boy and didn't have ANY girl names picked out (that was in the days before ultrasounds) and when I was born and a girl, they had to scramble to pick a name. My mom let my dad pick it and that's what happened. I've never thought about what I'd change it to, though

I've always liked my name..Susanne, it suits me..except that when I was younger I wished it was spelled with a Z instead of an S because everyone spelled it wrong, and I always have to specify Sus not z.. I still have to do that a lot now, but I guess the spelling has gotten a little more common because some people actually get it right LOL but I like that it's S now, because it's different. I don't have any kids, but I would have loved to have some just so I got to name them..LOL They'd have names like Julia and Isabel or Faith maybe. ..and if I had a boy it would be something like Noah or Adam.. even though I'm not particularly religious, I just like the names :O)

No, I've always liked my name Teresa but what I don't like is the nickname Terry. I feel most unkind when people call me Terry cuz that's not me.

I'm quite happy with my name, which is the Scottish Gaelic form of Isobel. My whole family have very traditional Scottish names.

I actually like mine....my mom planned to name a daughter that when she was just a little girl....so it means alot to me...especially since I lost her over 20 years ago....the only time I didn't like it was when she used all three names...I knew I was dead then lol

I have always liked my name Sandy Kay. I just wish my mother would of had the full version on my birth certificate as Sandra and not plain Sandy. Because I hate being called Sandra. I will correct people when they call me by the wrong name.

But I did name my daughter Kassandra. That way she has many options for nicknames.

All the way through college no one could get my name on the first try. I was called Glenda almost every time. And if they didn't say Glenda there would be some other variation, but they never got Glenna. By the time I was 20 I had developed the habit of spelling my name to first time users. :>) But strangely, about 15 years ago people actually started getting my name the first time. AND many could spell it without me telling them. I don't know what happened but I like it. So, as a young child, I hated my name because I was so difficult. But I like the fact that I was named after my dad. His name is Jessie Glenn.

I like my name, but I HATE when people ask if I was born in December! I was born in May!!

I like my name now, but I didn't when I was growing up because my mom named me after herself, so whenever someone called and asked for Sherry, it got OLD asking 'which one?' and then having them act all confused. :P

When I was little I always wanted my name to be Stephanie, Tiffany, Samantha, etc.. haha all the popular names of the 80's ;o) But now that I am older I LOVE my name & that it is so unusual. One time someone called me Bird Turd to be mean & I laughed with them & then my friends started calling me that & I was cool with it LOL! My brothers taught me to just laugh when people try & to be mean & it helps! ;o)

I used to hate my middle name--Louise :)

My given name is William and I liked going by Bill at school. But ever since birth, my family and everyone has called me Nick, which is what mom wanted. For awhile, I kinda wanted to continue the William dynasty (dad was the first William) but then I became sensible and have been Nick ever since.

I myself like my name being a bit less common. I do wish my parents had thought to give me a simple and easy to spell middle name, for using with people that seem like they can not listen and jot letters down at the same time. I can not tell you how frustrating it is to order pizza and give my name. Usually they end up calling me Shawn.
I used "Shy" (someone thought that was what I told them when I said Shawnee, so it stuck for a while.) alot when I had to order things or give my name rather then hear someone butcher the pronounciation.

I would use my middle name, but Leigh-Anne does not lay down so easily on paper either.

I named my girls with unusual or older and less used names, but gave them normal middle names so they can choose which they like better.

And then there is my son, people look at me wierd when they hear his name after all the girl's names... Jordan Tyler. Plain by comparison.
