Before & After: back piece tattoo in process

My husband has been working on getting a back piece and it will end up being a family theme with a picture of him, his brother and his parents all riding on their Harleys with the Three Sisters mountains (located in Central Oregon) behind them.

I completely spaced out taking a photo of his 2nd session, but these photos will give you an idea of how it's coming along!

All work has been done by a very talented tattoo artist here in Salem, Oregon.

Well, I think we discussed a long time ago how I'm not really into tattoos...but, I can appreciate good work when I see it. I can't imagine sitting for this...ouch!

Let's hope that when Gather fixes their hiccups, all 4 photos will show up in this article. Thanks to everyone who has commented! What you see so far (3 Harleys and 4 ppl) took about 12-14 hours and it will have mountains behind it as well as full color.

Barbara - thank you. We have friends who were tattooed by the same artist 20+ years ago and their tattoos are as bright today as ours are now, so I have positive thoughts about that part of it. Now the law of gravity part of it, we'll just have to see. Hopefully his back won't sag TOO much. Now the tattoo on my chest is probably an entirely different story! ;o)

My husband wants another tattoo, but nothing that big. He just has a US Flag, and Elliott's name and birthdate so far. He just wants another small one, and then of course if we have more kids, he will get their full names and birthdates on his chest, too.

Thats an awesome tattoo. The work is excellent. I love those mountains in Oregon. I've been there a few times with my grandparents. I would love to go back sometime soon!!
