Melina tells me she loves me all the time. Before she goes to bed, we say the same thing every night. "I love you Melina", and she replies with " I love you Mommy." Then "Goodnight baby", and she replies with "Goodnight Mommy." I love hearing the words, I love you, from her. Whenever I'm feeling down, it will immediately pick me up. There are times we'll be in the middle of playing and she'll say out of nowhere all excited "I love you!" while shes giggling.
I probably tell Melina I love her at least 20-30 times a day, just so I can hear her say it back. "I love you too Mommy" or "I love you too" or even the new answer I sometimes get, "I know" gives me the greatest joy. Hearing my baby say I love you fills my heart with a feeling I just can't explain. That look that she gives me, like she's smiling with her eyes, makes my heart flutter.
How does it make you feel when your kids tell you I love you?

I used to have a "thing" that I said with my youngest, up until she got too old and thought it was too silly.....
Mommy: "Who loves you, baby?"
My youngest: "Mommy does."
And I also love the look they give you when it seems they are smiling with their eyes at you!!! It's the most humbling, and lifting thing!!
