Even though my youngest son (13 months) loves the sound of his daddy's Harley and doesn't seem frightened of it one bit, he's really scared of the vacuum cleaner. Today I had to vacuum so I took Rylan into his bedroom and set him up with his little baby tool box and some other toys so he could hang out in there while I tried to get some housework done.
While I'm busy vacuuming, I can hear Rylan in his bedroom just chattering away so when I'm finished I'm pretty proud of myself that I was actually able to get something cleaned!

When all is done, and I turned off the vacuum cleaner... out came Rylan, crawling towards me all happy that he didn't have to listen to the scary noise anymore. I take a second look because I can't figure out what he's dragging behind him and then I realize that it's a blanket. That little stinker! Look what he did to his room!

The cleaning never ends when you're a Stay At Home Mom. As soon as you're done picking something up, another mess has already been made.

My mom sent my granddaughter (her great-granddaughter) a vaccum cleaner for her birthday, but I swear it looks like she hasn't used it in her room. And I know she hasn't used that broom and dustpan I bought her. Just because she is only three doesn't mean she should get off that easy! LOL
I babysit for my 2 greatnephews and my greatniece, and I am beat when I get home. I only do this about 3 days a week, and now there is another one on the way. But now that school is back in the oldest goes to school. The boys ages are 9 and 4, they fight all the time, they are cousins, but act more like brothers, the youngest so far is the girl and she is almost 7 months.
I think the main difference with her is that she is now walking and decided she can pull anything down she can reach. Everything off the desk, anything on the coffee table. It made most of the house "fair game" to her.
Hmm..wait. Baby messes are so much easier to clean up than Teen messes. What am I thinking?
*sigh*
