Yes, I know. It's just mind-bending to think of me as a great-granddad at the not so ripe old age of 58. You have to understand, these are step-great granddaughters. See, my wife's late husband was thirteen years older than her when they got married (her first, his second), and he already had three kids. So, my wife, Debbie, became an instant mother at age 30! And I became an instant grandfather when I married her two years ago. Then, two weeks after our wedding, the oldest granddaughter, Stephanie, give birth to our first great granddaughter. Earlier this year another granddaughter, Heather, gave birth to our second great granddaughter. We were all in downtown Staunton the other day to see the Clydesdale horses, and this gave me a group photo-op.
Left to Right: Great-Granddaughter McKenna; Granddaughter Stephanie; Granddaughter Heather (mother of JaLynn); Wife Debbie, and Step-Daughter Dana, with JaLynn.

It is good for us though, keeps me mobile. Other wise I'd be sitting in that rocking chair complaining about the neighbor kids running amuck.
