This is the Email I got and I am just wondering why your so quick to get your back hair up? I am asking this question because I think everyone in the USA should wonder about the person we are asking to Lead this nation. Exspecially where Homeland Security comes into play. To be completely honest with you I am so discusted with the Person setting in the chair now (How could we do any worse)? I guess my point is this. How much does your upbringing affect your overall person? Do you think your Kids are affected by the way you parent them? Just food for thought. I tend to form my own opinions based on research and the detail of the information I find. I am the kind of person who likes to look at a subject from all sides and determine the most logical approach to the subject. This post is not to Hurt anyone, its to find out what people know. Also usually I tend not to believe what I hear unless its cited. I did ask the person Originating the email to reference his material and I want to see it also.

Bruce, it's an email forward. The person who sent it to you didn't write it, he or she just hit the "forward" button and sent it along. They have no material to reference.

If you'll look at the Snopes.com page, you'll see the text of your email reproduced word-for-word. There is nothing logical or informational about it. It is merely hateful.

Bruce, chalk the e-mail up to "Republican scare tactics." I got one too, and blasted the sender for sending such unfounded propaganda meant to frighten recipients rather than educate them. Too often, that's been the stance of the Republican party these days. It's a shame, since this stance actually perpetuates the feeling of fear that, ironically, is what terrorism stands for. It's a lose, lose strategy all around -- yet, as apparent from the concern in your post, it's working.

Look at it this way are you being very Christian towards me? It sounds like you have an Islamic Chip on your shoulder and want to use me to vent it. So what is your view on Atheists? It sounds to me like there are many people in this string ready to pounce because of there beliefs. JB I will approach your reference first. To look at the List of Newspapers and for you to be talking about getting references makes me laugh. 99% of the information from your link is from New York Times, Chicago Times and Los Angeles Times. There is some real references. Yeah I believe everything I read in the Papers.

I will say that Wiki is much better reading but there are huge holes in the information. They talk about Obama going to school in Jacarta (Hope I spelled that right) but it doesnt say what school he attended. I found that most of the info supplied in the above paragraph was like that but the holes keep me wondering. Is someone filling in the blanks with what they want or is someone not filling in the blanks because they dont want them filled???? I am going to do some more research as to not upset the restless ones. Then when I find some reputable sources I will fill in the blanks. I guess what I will do is call Obama's HQ and see what they have to say and if they are willing to fill in the blanks.

I have been on the phone, looked on the internet talked with CNN and no one not anyone will tell me the name of the School he attended but they say there are pictures of it and an in depth interview with they General in charge of the school. I have as yet to find any information proving or disproving the email I recieved. I still intend on calling Obama's Head Quarters but with the recent smear tactics and a promice not to use them who knows who is telling the truth. I wasn't asking if you were voting for Obama I was asking for opinions that I could study to find facts. Lets talk about the Muslim religion. What religion flew 4 planes into the Ground, 2 planes into WTC and the Pentagon. What religion are we fighting for, to better there lives in Iraq? I have a close friend that sends me clips of video concerning the War. He told me a tale that turned my blood cold. They had some frinds who were Iraqis and they had a store where the soldiers would go to buy some of there supply's. One night they woke up to find the Heads of the people who owned the store and there family in the toilets in the store. The Insurgents cut off there heads because they were serving American Soldiers (Infandels). We will never win a War in the middle east because we are fighting a religous belief. You think that I am sending up smoke signals. That happened on 9/11 and if you want to think that there are no problems with a man that might have ties with the muslim religion running this country you need to think again. My point is this, there are many Extremest Muslims out there that are wiling to trade there lifes to have a better place in heaven because they took some of us Infadels with them. Even if Obama isn't affiliated with the Muslim Religion they will look at that as the next step to kicking the door open for terrorism. Im sure this sounds paranoid to you but since we were attacked on our soil I feel that is my right as it should be everyone elses.

I think an earlier poster was correct when she mentioned that Obama's father was Muslim, so he may have been raised in the religion for awhile. I believe he professes Christianity, now. +

But, I don't think his Muslim background is going to cause any problems for him, any more than Mitt Romney's Mormon background. I think people are so sick of the current President and Congress that experience and message are going to carry more weight.

If he were elected I don't think his religious background would be that big of an issue one way or the other. I think he'll either follow his own convictions or follow the special interests.

I'll give you an example. Many Muslims and Christians are pro life - he's decidely pro choice. Right now republicans are wondering if Giuliani's pro choice beliefs (and he's Catholic) will cause him problems getting the republican nomination.

I really don't think these candidates play as much to religious interests as people would lead us to believe.

Personally, the fact that Obama spent 2 years in a Muslim school means nothing to me. I recommend searching for his votes while in the Illinois state senate, and his votes while in the U.S. Senate. A politicians votes are the one aspect of their lives that they cannot hide from. In my opinion, Obama is far more liberal, based on his voting record, than he is trying to protray now that his running for President.

Put this Islamic school to rest. He went to a school in Indonesia for a short time during his childhood which served Christians (which he is) and Muslims. He was a state legislator here in Illinois before he ran for the Senate and won. He is an up and coming star. Whether he is ready for the presidency is another thing. I have done over a week of searching for just a name of a school so I can see it for myself and as of yet no one has given me that information. Now if it isn't true then why hasn't anyone come forward with that information. What is rediculous is how some people are hell bent on killing the messenger. If you want to go off half cocked and not do the research good on you. Thats your right. I am asking the question because anyone running for the President of the United States opens there entire background to the public. I didn't ask Obama to run he did that on his own. It's the Bakusi School, and Obama attended it from 1969 to 1971. It is not a muslim school, it is a mixed school where Christians and Buddhists also attend.

I went to CNN because what I did find is that they wrote that they had acutually went to the School and did an intreview. To that point that was the only information I knew. They wouldn't tell me the name of the school. You make it what you want but your the one that is spreading hate, just because someone asked a question.

I went to many websites and the link for the film wasnt there and if you look in the article it doesn't say the name of the school. I do my searches via Comcast Search.. I couldn't find it. Now you want to talk about hate, go back and take a look at this entire string of comments and see what propegates hate. Its a lack of knowledge. No I haven't, I'm not even of legal age yet, but I will be within this year. But I won't lie to you, there is no way in hell I would serve anytime in Iraq, even if a draft was issued. I do not believe this war was right, it was all lies, still is lies, and theres no point in it. As soon as we pull out of Iraq, they will go back to their ways. We have no right to tell them how to run their country, nor does any country have the right to do that to us. The fact that we caught sadaam has nothing to do with the war, the whole reason for entering Iraq was because of their possession of WMD's remember? But we STILL haven't found any WMD's have we? No. This war makes me ashamed to be in this country. This country is all about freedoms and equal rights for everyone. And look at it now, two human beings are banned from being married, just because you're religion doesn't agree with it. So to answer you're question. No. I would never fight this war, it embarrasses me. Iraq didn't attack us on 9/11, a group of extremists did. Re: Obama. He about has lost my support. During the last debate, he touted nuclear energy as a part of the solution to addressing the climate change problem. This indicated to me that he doesn't have much command of this issue. Previously, he had also come out in favor of coal gasification, a process that pumps even more CO2 into the atmosphere.

I'm not saying I won't ultimately support him, but not until he gets more up to date on nuclear energy and climate change. Obviously, if he gets the nomination, I will support him against any of the republican candidates.
