Moving to MA

Hello All:

I am in the process of relocating to Plymouth, MA. I have never been there and there are a thousand and one things in my mind. I am naturally a worried kind. I am moving to work there to be closer to the publishing houses I work for. I have always been in the west, never in the east. I heard it is beautiful, yet I am nervous. I need some guidance and assistance. Anything will help.

Thanks Tom. Should I count on you fro more advice? I know I need it. I am working from my home here in Logan, and under some circumstances, I have decided to move to MA. It's a career decision. Okay, I heard MA is a very pretty place. I love the lush and greens. I love the cloudy skies. However, moving is something I hate. I am already getting nervous just thinking about the drive in a truck there. I am not good at driving trucks, let alone one with tons of my belongings in there (a hole house). So, please holler whenever you have some advice I could use. Thanks, Tom!

good luck don't be afraid to go out and try tons of new things when you move. if you get active as soon as you move there you'll create a network of friends sooner.

I understand Plymouth is very nice, and the large turkey dinners with the friendly natives are supposed to be superb.

Christopher,
Mass. is a beautiful state. You'll love it, but the traffic and narrow, winding roads will take some getting used to. As someone who has lived in several different states, I'd advise you to take a hard look at all your possessions and only take things you have to have.

Moving from midwest to DC metro area was an adjustment to me seven years ago, but I am very happy I did that. I think initially it will be difficult, but you will like it and you will learn a lot from the process. Good luck!
