Although some of you may have finished the book, please be a "Secret Keeper" and we can talk about the ending later in the week.
Are you disappointed or enchanted by the beginning of "Deathly Hallows"?
Poor Hedwig...
More than halfway down page five, in the second line of "My Lord, I have good news," the word succeeded is spelled incorrectly.
Do you think that Mad Eye is really gone? No body recovered leaves some hope.
What do you think so far? The body count is up to 4 (if you count Hedwig)....
I barely remembered the muggle studies teacher...had to go back and check it out in book 3.
I have a feeling that the body count is going to go up, but I'm torn on who...
I'm sure the body count will go up. I'm just wondering how Voldemort found out about Harry's departure from Privet Drive. Who's the mole?
I'm wondering if Rowling will get any backlash for Harry, Hermione and Ron slinging back shots of fire whiskey in Chapter Five after hearing of Mad Eye's death. Not such a big deal in Britain where the drinking age is 18, but it just crossed my mind that it might not be so accepted in the States?
It didn't strike me as that bad...they are 17, and I hate to say it, but a lot of kids that age do drink.
Kudos for finishing the book! Don't spoil it for us. But overall, was it riveting until the end or disappointing?
Is it a cleansweep 2000?
and the book... had me crying, laughing, yelling and dying! riviting until the last page, where i was hoping more would pop up
I have theories about Harry's past...who are his grandparents? What about Dumbledoor's brother?
I do wish that she would have gone more into the families..
Star Wars was hugh when I was a kid...
I'm still torn on Snape at this point...
I don't have that kind of wilpower.... it took all i had, not to read the end when they handed it to me!
You should hear the British accent and her..."Wingardium Leviosa....no...it's Lev..e....o...sa.."
And yes, I will miss Gilmore Girls. I need to start Veronica Mars on Netflix because I have caught it sporadically and thought the writing was very good.
I was bawlin like a baby, not only cuz of the ending, but because its the END
I have mixed feelings on Lupine at the moment also.
trivia answer: the twins had cleansweeps
I liked the first 5 chapters but I could have done without hedwig dying, what was the point.
I get the point of Moody: he was agreat auror and they got him. I get into it more tomorrow I dont want to give any thing away.
Thanks!
chapter one - WONDERFUL way to start the book and get us going with the evil!! wow!
Entertaining!!!
