author: Bill Maher
subtitle: Polite Musings from a Timid Observer
Since we all know what kind of rants Bill Maher is capable of, the subtitle tells you that his tongue was planted firmly in cheek as he wrote these little snippets of his opinions about popular society and culture. The book was written in 2005, so although some is still timely, some is quite dated (there's a LOT about Bush...)
In turns the opinions are
1. whiney
2. humorous
3. negative
4. politically incorrect
5. actually incorrect (there were at least 3 factual inaccuracies)
sometimes they are all of the above.
Cute, funny (in parts), but left a bad taste...
VERY fast reading.
