The expression - if you live by the sword, you die by the sword...
The main people in the true story are a Jewish cantor (the singer in the temple who can also lead a congregation) and a Grand Dragon of the KKK.
At first the KKK participant, Larry Trapp, harassed the cantor calling him on the phone, insulting him and threatening him. He did the same to various blacks, women and Asians in his Nebraska community.
Eventually the cantor, Michael Weisser, reached out to Larry Trapp to share love with him - how could he help.
The miracle was that this love helped turn Larry Trapp around - he repented of his past dealings and doings and apologized to all the people he had hurt (after leaving the KKK). He eventually converted to Judiasm and joined the NAACP.
As Larry was dying, he moved into the Weisser's home for the last months of his life.
It's an amazing story.
