Size of Books

I can't wait to have my fantasy novel, THE KEEPERS OF SULBRETH, published by Medallion Press. It will be a thick trade-sized paperback. I've read many books of this size, and of course I have shelves of hard-backs and the small paperbacks. My first two books, both romance, THE GREATER GOOD and THE LESSER EVIL are in trade paperback though not that thick. What type of book do you prefer and why?

I like the larger softcover books best, but more important is large enough print. Funny, that never used to bother me when I was younger...

I don't really have a preference, although I usually buy the small paperback because they're less expensive.

My publisher offers quite a few trim options in the U.S., but since they utilize printers around the globe, their recommendations are 6"x9" and 8.5"x11". In the U.S. they are primarily trade paperback (4.25x6.875).

My books sell better in Europe than the U.S.
