I'm never sure I understand what the writer means when I read things like this. But it stikes a chord with me. I do believe that all life is about choices and that all feelings (emotions) are the direct result of thoughts. I think this poem/meditation or whatever it should be called, if trying to communicate something like that. I can't give it a 10, but I enjoyed reading it and trying to understand what the author was really trying to say.

Every word is so very true. Each and everyone of us control our own lives.
Yes or No is a choice we make in everything we do. Shall I do this or shall I do that needs to be carefully considered when making any decision.

I don't disagree that the writing is good, but I am unableto give this one a good rating on premise. This is poetry. What will the writer do? Publish an entire book of these? Does it continue and try totell a story through poetry from hundreds of pages? I am NOT saying this is not good, but it is not what the contest if about. I read the rules and they clearly state "full length book" and "manuscript submission". For which this does not qualify as I read it. Also, the rules state "Writers cannot submit more than one Submission in the Competition.", which she has done. I am not disagreeing with the quality of the poem, but its validity to the basis of this contest. That is what my rating is based on.

This brings to mind my favorite saying: You can make any choice you want but you cannot pick your consequences.

Life is a choice of course. I am not thinking about this in terms of any contest.....
I am only interested in the writing for itself. ; )
