You fell into my trap! I decided to "up the ante" by sending out daily spotlights because I wanted to see if the members of my group would become more competitive and stop sending me "ho hum" photos and start sending more BEAUTIFUL CREATIVE INTERESTING PHOTOS WITH GOOD COMPOSITION and you did it. I understand most of you are not professionals and I don't expect you to be but I know from experience when the bar is raised most will try to reach it.
If you are wondering how I choose I'll tell you. I see the photos as I accept them into my group. Photos must have a caption. I decline most albums, I decline photos that are out of focus and photos I call snapshots . Snapshots are photos that are just snapped - with no thought to composition, content - usually full of people or pets or cars or a mess of some sort.
If you send a creative shot with a good composition your chances of being spotlighted are better.
When I'm ready to make a choice I go back to the beginning of the time period and go through the photos one at a time, featuring the ones I think are best. Then I go to the feature page and pick the best of the best, removing some and keeping the others
The first day I did the daily spots there were very few good shots to choose from. The second day I posted daily spots there were twice as many great shots that I had to choose from.
Today there are a LOT of fantastic photos to choose from and I hope you appreciate the quality of the chosen photos.
SPOTLIGHT YOUR PHOTOS IS A GROUP. Anyone can joint he group as long as you take your own photos and NOT take them from the internet. If you think you might like to join the group Click Here

I hope the group members will stop by and congratulate the photographers.
If you step out of the house don't forget your camera!
