We have quite a few magnolia trees around our pond and many of them have a lot of blossoms on them. These are photos of blooms on the tree right outside our bedroom window. Rather than post them individually I thought I'd share the photos all in one place.
A beetle was enjoying the bloom also.

The underside of the leaves are brown. On a windy day when mostly the underside of the leaves are showing it appears that the tree is dying.

I like how the top of the leaves are a rich green outlined in a paler shade of green.

A beetle comes to visit.

A small section of the tree with new and old blossoms. As the blossom ages the white petals turn brown.

This is called Little Gem Magnolia and is less than a year old.
Now if I could only add smell to the article so you could experience how light and sweet their fragrance is.

Great photos!
Those are pretty! Ours haven't bloomed yet and I love them. I could do without them on the ground when the blooms die though:)
I guess I'm glad we are in a condo and don't have to clean up the mess ourselves:) I haven't seen the mess yet.
and some kind of lillies or something to fill in the ground, and they say this is better landscaping. Well, I love your magnolia tree and miss ours.
U wishing you laughter
