sower horse drawn seed hand time has made impotent cold kernel-dispensers barren winter -- My thanks to Cindy T. for providing the inspiration for this cinquain. Cindy posted a picture (linked here) with an "untitled cinquain" article (linked here) on February 12, 2008. After reading Cindy's cinquain, reading all the comments and then viewing the picture, I felt moved. I crafted a couple of cinquains from the picture, and post them now for anyone's enjoyment. Thanks, Cindy. -- Bill's Spirit is an Artist, Writer, Poet, Philosopher currently wordsmithing from a humble digital forge in small town Ohio. The works of the man behind Bill's Spirit have been published in small alternative and amateur presses since 1986. Before that, they just filled notebooks, decorated walls and gathered dust in piles and boxes. --

Don't ask me why, but this kind of picture speaks to me. I love old things.
Denise B. - Thanks. :-)
donna f. - Yeah, well... I couldn't sleep, and I know having the TV on makes you toss and turn... so... :-)
Cinquains are five lines written with a syllable count of 2-4-6-8-2. The first line is two syllables, the second line is four syllables, etc. Rhyming is not used. And the last line of the poem should reflect or tie, in some way, back to the first line of the poem (something I did not do in this poem).
Glad you liked this. Thanks. :-)
Jim Ross - Thanks, Jim. :-)
Alison H. - Thanks. :-)
Jan H. - Thanks. :-)
