About three weeks ago we tore up the nasty 27 plus year old carpet we had to live with the past 7 years. The owners before us had 6 big dogs all the time in the house and four cats and two small children. The original owner we understand had several large dogs inside as well and three teenagers. We have owned our home now or rather buying it since March 2000. The carpet needed replacing when we bought it but we can only do so much and then have to wait until circumstances allow for the next project. So we have a make do or do without policy until we can afford to do again.
The money came in to buy flooring for our living room and at the same time Ziggy's had a hardwood floor sale. So we took the opportunity and bought the hardwood flooring to lay down. Following is a photo essay of before and after photos of our remodeling expedition.

Thank you for showing us the improvements with the before and after shots as I know the joy you must feel from the changes your making. I guess this is all part of the reasons I enjoy watching those home improvement shows on TV so much. I used to be able to do most of the work myself but now I can only watch while others do it.
