This Week's Featured Photo Makeovers

          There have been some amazing photos posted this week to Your Favorite Pics. This is the place where members get free photo makeovers. I felt like a kid in a candy store trying to decide which ones to select this week. This is a work in progress so I haven’t figured out all the kinks yet. I’ve posted some makeover “afters” alone while some photos also get a “before and after” side by side photo collage. Keep in mind the "before and after' collage is cropped and not the real “after”. All photos selected for a make-over can be reposted by ththeir owner. I do not post anything without the owner's prior consent.

          As time goes by I suspect things will get more creative like the inspirational poster (see below). It’s all good fun so keep posting those photos  ;-)

 One of the reasons I choose a particular photo is my insatiable curiosity. I wanted to see this lovely heron in more detail so I cropped, sharpened, added light and color saturation. The water looks more alive and vibrant as well.

This sweet “before” shot is by one of my dearest connections on Gather, Kyra D.  I decided to do a very different kind of makeover for her. I sharpened the focus a bit and brought in enough light to show the third child in the background. The photo was cropped as well to focus on the figures in the foreground.

This is the “after” photo made into a motivational poster on friendship. It’s sentiment dear to my heart especially since all the turmoil on Gather lately.

When I saw this zany photo, I had to see it up close. It is from one of the funniest guys on Gather, Terr Bear AKA “Terry with something strange on his head”

This is the “before and after” collage of this zany manatee mailbox.

It’s cropped and sharpened to bring in more detail. It’s not the most dramatic makeover but gets my prize for silliness ;-)
