With a mop in one hand and the vacuum in the other, I lumbered past the living room window. I had cleaned house from top to bottom and I was pooped. Something caught the corner of my eye, it was bright color streaming in between the slats of the blind. Actually, Rene (my deaf white cat) was sitting on the back of the couch, playing with the blind. I guess I owe her though, if it hadn't been for her I would have missed one of God's most beautiful masterpieces.
I ran to the study and grabbed the camera, threw on a jacket and house shoes and waddled out the door. I've attached nine photos, the best of many frames for you to enjoy, hopefully as much as I am. The photos have not been altered in any way. In order for them to fit on Gather I did have to reduce the file size, but the colors are exactly as the camera perceived them. They are in the order taken as nature, in three minutes or less, changed day into night...the sun and clouds dancing back and forth, vying for position in a blue sky tinted by their efforts.
I live on the top of a hill near the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. From our house, we see my mountain and witness many glorious sites...snow in winter, bright autumn colors, purple tinted skies but never anything quite this beautiful.
But like in so many things, joy is so fleeting. In less than 3 minutes I had received a Valentine like no other. You see, I have two men in my life, one who knows everything I am (that would be God) and the other one who bought this house less than 10 years ago for me precisely because of the view. You see, I don't drive anymore and am pretty much at home 90% of the time. My world seemed to shrink drastically. But when I see these heavenly paintings from my warm and cozy home, there are no boundaries to my world. My husband made that possible.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY GARY!
Forever and ever and two days,
Bren

... but ummm I have to kick it from Gather Artists. There are a zillion groups for photography and skylines and I love those groups) but Gather Artists is for things like paintings, sculptures, sketches, clever photoshop work... and the occasional photograph of artistic compositions.
Please don't be mad... I did love this.
My favorite is the 2nd one.
(And thank you for not photoshpping them. Nature doesn't need the help!)
BTW/these pictures are not my doing. Aren't they beautiful...I just pushed the button ... didn't God do a great job of the subject matter. I must give credit where credit is due ! Seriously, I couldn't believe my luck.
Thanks again,
Bren
