Sue, I enjoyed the feeling this poem brought forth. I have one possible suggestion. Please understand it is only a suggestion and may not be what you want but here goes. Have you thought of switching the second to last stanza and the last stanza? For example,
It is funny that you say that, because I thought of switching it. It works better this way. even though I know that the storm will pass, I still want him to hold me.
