Chris Fontaine is a gifted luthier - a builder of stringed instruments. He's also a father of three (soon to be four) and is battling a rare form of cancer, and has no health insurance.
If you are in the Nashville area this week you might want to know that bluegrass Grammy winner Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas will be performing at the Fontaine Family Benefit on Tuesday, August 4th at the Wildhorse Saloon.
The concert to help raise money for Chris Fontaine will also feature performances by Cherryholmes, Cadillac Sky, The Dixie Bee-Liners, Annie Moses Band, and The Steeldrivers. There will be other musical appearances by Buddy Spicher, One Flew South, St. Augustine Ramblers, The Fells, The Sweet Irony, and Melanie Joy Trio.
Tickets for the show are $25.00 and available at the Wildhorse Saloon, www.ticketmaster.com, www.wildhorsesaloon.com, or by calling 615.902.8211.
Come early for acoustic music and check out the silent auction.
If you'd like to find out more about Chris Fontaine and the Fontaine Fund [you may donate without being at the concert, and good thoughts and prayers are always welcome as well] please visit www.fontainefund.com.
