Look at the Time! I’m a Gatherholic! I should already be on the road!

 

And you know what all my Gather friends; it’s your fault! Your articles are too interesting to break away from. I was supposed to get up early, put my cat in a carrier, and head down the hill the sixty-five miles to the vet. My cat has infected teeth and needs them pulled.

 

I did get up at 5:30, cleaned the cat boxes, and took my meds before sitting down for just a minute at this computer to check how my Patraeus article was doing. It is now 7:30 and I am still glued to this chair!

Munchie our old girl with her history of facial fractures did amazingly well after all her teeth were extracted. She actually gained weight on science diet dry..small round pieces.:)

Good luck with the kitty, Ruth. We had to do that with one of our cats, and she did fine with it.

I'm back safe and sound. I left Riley at the vet and will have to make another trip tomorrow to pick him up after his operation. Dr. Paulson said he had already lost some teeth. He had the longest fiercest eye teeth I have seen on a cat, and they have been gone for over a year. I think Tiger Tom might have knocked it out when he was a feral cat hanging around. Anyhow, he won't have any more pain.
Part of my own tooth fell off last week, and you see who is getting the dental care! I guess I am too fond of cats. I'm hoping I can do something about my own teeth next February when my finances should be looking better. Hardly anyone ever sees me anyway.

I stopped at Vons on the way home and bought fresh fruits and vegetables. I'm cooking squash right now to go with my all purpose frizzled hamburger, onions and green pepper mixture that I'm going to have over brown rice.

Many of us get so wrapped up in Gatherville that we forget what is going on around us. Maybe we need to get a buzzer attached to our seats so we will be jolted when we spend too much time here.

Supper sounds good. It must be such a relief to know Riley's soon to be in good shape now. If we can stay up late we might be able to see some re-casts of today's events. I'm hoping so. Glad all is working out. It is hard to take when our animals need attention.

Hi Ruth, sorry your cat has teeth problems, how do they eat, if they have their teeth pulled, I never heard of that before, but I guess they can have bad teeth, same as people do too. I hope you get your tooth fixed before it doesn't give you trouble., worst pain their is, a tooth ache, hurts your whole body, at least it feels like it.
