Hi everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that I will be participating as one of the artists in The Healing Power of the Arts Exhibit later this month! I will be showing my story, The Magic Pencil, as a work in progress, and a drawing I did waaaaaaay back in 1975, which I believe is one of my best.
The Premier Opening Night is Sunday, September 28, from 2-5 p.m. Tickets are $25. Some of the 30 plus pieces will be for sale.
The showing begins at The Art Experience, Inc. (where I work) at 315 N. Telegraph Road, Suite 214, Waterford, MI, 48328 (248-706-3304). The art will be shown at TAE until October 25 and will travel to the Orion Art Center at 115 S. Anderson Street, Lake Orion, MI, 48361 (248-693-4986) to be shown October 30 to November 20. The Opening Night at Orion will be on October 30 at 6:30p.m.
The featured artist is Connie Reider, photographer and cancer survivor. Her photo illustrated journal,
In Shadow and Light...Looking for the Gifts of Cancer, will introduce you to her personal healing through art.

I know where that is...too far from me to attend (as I live in Georgia), but I grew up not far from your show locations.

The featured artist is Connie Z. Reider. She is a photographer/journalist and cancer survivor who uses her art for healing. I got one of her books for my mother and Ms. Reider wrote a beautiful note to my "Muzzy".
