What do you Like about Gather?

What I like about Gather, Nyota, is you. If you adult rated this, I could drop an adjective in front of you and we could fist-bump.

Just meeting people and getting different views of subjects.

I originally came to Gather to see if I was capable of writing. Not long after I started, through the response of other members, I found out I had something in me I didn't know I had before. I still enjoy entertaining others with my humor as most of my posts center around that type of theme. Since my unfortunate event of a couple months ago, I now enjoy the friendship and companionship of other members (seeing how I'm alone with no family or friends in a new city) and I especially enjoy the extra cash I pick up; one thing I wasn't originally interested in, but am definitely now since my income has been reduced due to my losing a leg and being unable to work for the time being. (I just wish I could make way more than I do.)

I belong to a lot of online forums. Gather is my all time favorite. I love the diversity of people here. I love the respect that MOST people show to other human souls. I have met about 10 REALLY GREAT PEOPLE who I could see being friends with off line. It is a very kewl crowd!-LOL

I like it for everything - writing, reading, looking at pictures and videos, networking, contests, and getting gift cards/cash isn't bad either! Like Rob I came here originally because I thought it would be a good place to put up some of my interviews and reviews...and the occassional rant. I'm glad I found gather!

Where on the web can you gab ???

I recently joined, and I'm not real sure if I like it or not. I mean, I do, but it seems very slow. Maybe, it's just my computer speed. I have DSL, but it seems to take forever to get from one thing to the next. But, I enjoy the pictures and articles.

I like that some people really seem to care.

I have met some great people and learned lots of things here about many subjects. Gather has a diverse group of people. I really enjoy it...and the gift cards help.

Great to know everyone! One thing I like is causes me to reflect on many things sharing them and getting interesting response. I feel I am growing that way.

Karl K., you already know you are in my top 2,000! ([;p)] You KNOW, it's become risky to fist bump in public! That's funny because people have been doing that forever! There's also the slapping of open palms, the high five, the complicated handshakes and the slapping palm ending in the snap of fingers!

Karl, That could be totally misconstrued.

I just love the way folks can lie , slander , and plagiarize with abandon.

Sigh. What I don't like about Gather is that they allow people to publish a couple of lines as a question and count it as an "article".

I like Gather because there seems to be something for everybody here. I have found my writing improving dramatically since I have been on Gather, as well.

I don't care about most of anything that others do, couple lines - article, what do I care? If I absolutely don't like it, why I don't go there and am likely not connected. Whatever. I see this as a microcosm world, live and let live, like em, play with them, don't, well then don't. I won't associate with anyone I feel has not played nice, even if it wasn't with me. Don't need that. Photography originally what attracted me here. Others of course, didn't think was in me, spent hours on a file sharing site where I would look through others work with a camera, and download what I liked. Got some beautiful work, all screensavers, 1000's, that changes every hour or so. But that was it, and ate so much space. And found I could look at peoples work here, comment too. They'd sometimes comment back. And I could learn. Got guts up posted some of my own, by golly some commented on mine, and didn't tear me apart, even wanted to be my friend! The addiction began then, friends by jove. We bantered back and forth, I posted more pictures. Loved to read, authors found me, read my chapter for free and review, let me know what you think. My goodness, books too! Then music, listen to new stuff, tell them what you think, I was in my glory. My images became numerous, people asked questions, that led to an article, a few actually wanted to read, I'm no writer, I read! We actually became real, honest to goodness friends that care. Now it's kind of like I dearly love my country, not my government necesarily. The friends here are priceless, invaluable, that know I am here for and I know now, probably they me too, I do love them and will do whatever I can to only give them a smile. But Gather now, well certainly frustrates me more often than not, especially with all the improvements! That's okay though, get over it I will, like it or not as always, these folks are just plain worth it!

i'm here for my friends... i enjoy seeing their stuff and sharing a few of my own...
some days i don't come at all... it's all in how i feel... but it's a great place to hang...
