It does need a gentle rain in that background, even for that photo. But then again, have you ever changed a light bulb in faint light with the globe filled with water? That is a most unpleasant chore, and then to fall against a door.
Rest is always needed, even so. To run time and time and time again, only to gather wood and water, that at least would be a worthy task. Dim bulbs can be changed at even intervals. Sometimes good advice is to get relief, take two aspirin and call a doctor.

Sorry I was late today...had a few places to go fill out job apps early today, so that took precedence...nothing promising, but I keep on truckin' along...who knows, that may have been the muse for my shedding of light today, LOL
Well good luck with the job applications. Now that football is over, I'm going to put in a couple of nights at Kohl's along with Sat and Sun days. If there's a Kohl's close by you, I know they're always hiring at Christmas. They just don't pay a whole heck of a lot. I do it for the discount not the big paycheck. : )
Aha! That was the method to my madness today! I applied at several department stores in the area, thinking at least I may get work through the holidays.

Candice, I know exactly how you're feeling! I've been out of work for 6 months now and I think I'm a professional application filler-outer! I decided that for today, I refuse to follow the lead of the darkness, for today I am chasing the light!
My brain oft' has some not-so-beautiful brain waves which roll into the darkness and must occasionally be drowned by the switching on of the bulb of common sense light :-)
Common sense tells me you are quite funny, brain (if I would switch it on) would agree, Hahaha!
