When you're in love, it is a must
That relationships are built on trust
There are things that you must know
About each other, so take it slow
If all is well and you say marriage vows
You live together as long as time allows
Families are started, loved and grown
It's like nothing you've ever known
The rewards are something to behold
They'll sustain you when you get old
Don't regret it, if to keep the peace
your heart opens the door for release
To keep your loved one free from cries
Love sometimes calls for little white lies

I cant lie to my family it was awesome and I still love ya
I had to laugh at Rob's comment above. Today I submitted my drabble. And I swear that I did NOT read Rob's comment before writing it. In fact, I try very hard not to read any of the submissions until I submit my own, so that I'm not swayed by anyone else's stories. I want my mind a clean slate when I start forming ideas around a prompt. Still, for whoever reads my drabble and remembers Rob's comment, they just might wonder if I'm telling a little white lie myself. I'm not. Honest. LOL
you always manage to convey warm little truths in your poems :)
It's the last two lines:
"To keep your loved one free from cries
Love sometimes calls for little white lies"
