My Final Input on "Minion"

Ok... So the book did turn out to be good... Not Fabulous, but good... The last hundred pages unraveled all of the confusion and sheer dullness of the first two-hundred... I still do not know if I will pick up the next book in the series eventhough the book did leave you wanting more... Carlos is still kinda out in the balance... I understand why he's in the book now but I am still wishing there would have been more on Damali and Carlos' past... We know they were friends and almost lovers and that she ALWAYS is thinking about him... But still there is something missing from this book... I would love to know more about the world she has created but I'm left with blank spaces... I still had trouble with the "ghetto slang" and the cussing... It didn't appeal to me in the slightest... Her characters were well thought out in her head... But not put on paper that well... What happened in the 15 years she was on her own... It give you little tid bits of info but leaves you... Like I said... With blank spaces... I'm all about having an imagination and reading between the lines but come on... Anyways... Would I read this book again? That's a Big NO... Would I recommend it to someone else... Sure, If they didn't mind the "ghetto slang" and cussing.... Would I recommend it to someone who enjoys Laurell K Hamilton... Again that's a BIG NO!!!
