Carmen Cole makes a life-altering discovery on her wedding day when she walks in on her fiancé and best friend doing the hippity dippity. Not only is her soon to be ex-groom cheating on her, but he is also the local superhero. Confusion and disbelief quickly turn to anger, and before she knows it Carmen is on a mission to unmask both heroes and villains so that no mere mortal will ever have to feel as duped as she did. Traveling from town to town, Carmen soon builds a reputation as a master un-masker. After obtaining a position at one of the nation’s top newspapers, Carmen achieves her greatest unmasking ever when she reveals the identity of one of the Fearless Five. But what happens next is nothing Carmen could have ever prepared for. With heroes, villains, and the general public turning against her, who will Carmen turn to when the Terrible Triad force her into helping them with there next evil plan? Filled with upstanding hereos and dastardly villains, the world of Bigtime and Carmen Cole is both fun and creative. In Karma Girl the author strikes a nice balance between poking fun at and paying tribute to superhero stories. Plus there was one interesting twist that I did not see coming! :-) Whether your a fan of straight Chick Lit or Fantasy/Paranormal Chick Lit or even a fan of Romanctic Fantasy, Karma Girl is a book you will want to put on your TBR list.
