author: Robin McKinley
This book is a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast legend - for grownups.
There are so many details and imaginative ways of describing the scenes and surroundings.
The book is lovely and captivating. Even though the reader knows the story, one wants the book not to end.
I HIGHLY recommend it.
