Hi Trish. I don't think I met you before. Thanks for coming by. There is an interesting verse in the Bible. Eccl 7:13 Consider the work of God, For who is able to straighten what He has bent? God is creating a work of art in each of us. Being bent is painful. I have a daughter that was hit by a car at 13 and has some brain damage. She did get married and had 4 children; is now divorced & children mostly grown. She is different but knows her limitations. She and I were talking on the phone about the comfort and faithfulness of God and we both said we would not change anything about our lives in spite of the tears. We both feel that we are just where we should be. But we are certainly not the same as before we were bent :) Anyway ... that's what it meant to me.

Thank you Haim. I actually though about the fact that you leave your poems open to interpretation before I left the explanation in a comment. Mainly, because bending steel could also be focused, not on God bending us, but our part of the initiative; self control in forcing ourselve to make moral choices. Accepting the loss of a loved one; a home; a job, without getting bitter. etc.
Wow, I interpreted that in a different way. I took it as a machinist or steel worker whose joints are never the same after working with steel. The way it was meant is much deeper. Love this, glome!

As you know Indian Formal Education in Schools mostly have the English medium in most of the prominent cities and the Central Board of Secondary Education is also compulsorily includes English language along with national language Hindi or /and with regional one wherever need applies...... So I wasn't a hardworking one but was sincere scoring good marks esp in English !!!
Thank you mano. I had forgotten that India required English. I wish all American students were required to be proficient in another language also. It is such a good idea. I know it was a lot of work but you reap good reward. Thank you for coming back to explain that. I'll keep an eye on your site :)
