Life's a journey,
We always start out as one,
We seek out others, our compass,
Before our path is done,

There, those lucky,
With one tread,
Stumbling easy on love,
There are others,
That rage,
For God's help,
Above,
To just find the one,
Show us the way,

And through it all,
Even now,
It is so, so, true,
All my friends say,
Comes pathfinder,
And she looks for you,
She will find you,
And guide you,
The sharp brambles through,
In the twilight,
Of life's lengthening day,
But till then, though,
I still have to find my own way.

Through the tangles,
Torn, tramped on,
And fast twisted round,
My feet heavy,
My own path,
Truly mangle bound,
In the shadows,
Of the now waning day.
You come to find me,
You come, coming what may,

I hold out hope, some,
But I really can't say.
