He who is home with the rolling spheres
Is at home with broken hearts
There’s hope and help for sighs and tears
For the wounds that sting and smart
If faith would be used as a wonder drug
And patience as aphrodisiac
Agonized spirit would burst into song
Chasing the wraith of saddened thoughts.
Though beyond my ken, pain appears
Incubating awareness pleading release
And scars defaming wounds that have ached
Are, apothegm on healing.
The glimmer that bursts from a healed heart
Made the psalmist think of stars
Bright as the sun or lightning’s arcs
Twinkling past these earthly bars.
Conviction meliorates the question of cares
That round me constantly flutter
A voice reminding of omnipotence
And proximity of its discreet ushers
Their methods are seldom guessed, meanwhile
Granted wish culminates in a song
He who is home with the rolling spheres
Is also home with broken hearts.

"If faith would be used as a wonder drug

those are my favorite lines.
And patience as aphrodisiac" this is the essence of your poem as I read it....I think I will post them on my monitor to remind me of a better way to think.
Deven - awww!! you're pulling my leg ain't you? I mean the planets - and thank you for choosing the lines I enjoyed writing the most in this piece of verse.
'Meanwhile, granted wish culminates in a song'
These lines touched a strong feeling in my heart.

Thank you for coming back with such depth still intact. I admire your ability to write from a sacred point of view without name calling. This pacifies your message in the hands of those who would mislead while arming the rest of us with an awareness of a common yearning.
