Ode to Gather

If we gather together

with others who gather,

does it mean

we are Gatherholics?

If we struggle to finish

other things in our day;

If we forget to work

and forget to play,

does that mean we are

Gatherholics?

If we wake up sleepy

and go to bed late,

reading and writing

our very fate,

does that mean we are

Gatherholics?

If system maintenance

makes us feel sad,

and no  comments on our writing

makes us feel bad,

does that mean we are

Gatherholics?

All of these things probably do

mean that Gather has a hold of you,

but that's a nice addiction, can't you see...?

Gather is a great place to be!

Yeah, Cheryl, I agree it's a good place to be, but it is also a good question re: Gatherholics. I spend more time here than I should. I can spend endless hours searching through dreck to find some fabulous, hidden gem of writing, which sanctions more hours to come. Like golf, one good shot on the 18th fairway erases that terrible score, and has you coming back for more.
